Loud and clear

Fears that government partnerships would see the sector lose its voice were unfounded, say the sector's top executives. Richard Gutch of PropspectUs reports.

Ever since I can remember, there have been two persistent worries regarding the campaigning role of the UK’s voluntary and community sector. First, that increased government funding could end up muzzling the sector’s voice. Second, that an increasing emphasis on the public service delivery role of the sector could result in less capacity for other work.
