Key themes of the renewed Compact

The Compact is an agreement between the Government and the voluntary and community sector, which was originally made in November 1998.

On 14 December 2010, the renewed national Compact document was published. Developed in partnership with the coalition government and following consultation with both sectors, the new Compact is leaner, more focused and reflects the changing operating environment for the partnership between government and the voluntary sector.
